Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada has demanded the government to issue a white paper with a list of those who have misused US aid. Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, MP Khatiwada made such a demand.
He also argued that the country was brought into disrepute by saying that the funds received through NGOs and INGOs were misused.
Sasand Khatiwada said, 'The government has defamed the whole of Nepal by saying how much money has come in the name of NGOs and INGOs, that money has been misused. Release what happened as a white paper.' He also said that America behaved inhumanely while sending back the non-resident citizens who stayed illegally. He said that non-residents should be returned only in accordance with international human rights values.
Nine Nepalis who arrived in America after spending 50 million to 10 million rupees were returned from America only on Wednesday. Trapped by human traffickers, they crossed 14 countries and reached America.
