Narayangadh-Butwal road expansion took 6 years to complete. The road expansion work, which was supposed to be completed in 40 months, could not be completed within the stipulated time. Due to which it is uncomfortable to travel through this road.

Due to potholes, dust, mud and long traffic jams, along with passengers, local residents are also suffering. The contractor company has been delaying the work due to Corona havoc and lack of construction materials. Tree felling order, electric pole shifting and water pipe shifting were also delayed.

He also appealed to the Prime Minister and concerned agencies to speed up the road construction work from the people's level since the highway was closed. However, the construction company delayed the work citing lack of funds and various reasons. The government had to warn that the contract will be canceled and the construction company will be blacklisted. 

Now the road expansion work is going on rapidly. The contractor company has accelerated the work of the project with only 5 months left for the third time extension. The contractor company, which did not work even for 4 months after the extension of the deadline, has now accelerated the work on both the eastern and western sections.

The work of making black sheets, making culverts and cutting mountains in Daunne is now going on in full swing. At present, in the eastern section, Gandakot, Dev Chuli, Kawasoti's Lokaha, Chormara, and Arun Khola sections are being blacked out.

Information officer of the eastern section of the Narayangadh Butwal road extension project, which is currently working at the fastest pace since the construction of the road started six years ago, said Engineer Shiv Khanal. Now the work is being done rapidly.
