The Sunday meeting of the National Assembly unanimously passed the Nepal Legal Practitioners Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081.
In the meeting, the proposal made by the Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasia that a decision should be taken on the said bill was unanimously accepted.
Minister Chaurasia said that the main purpose of the bill is to establish a legal professional institute (Lawyers Academy). He informed that the bill is also related to determining the standards of the curriculum to be taught by educational institutions that provide bachelor's degree in law or similar higher education.
