Congress president Sherbahar Deuba has called a meeting of the top leaders of the party. Chairman Deuba has called a meeting of top leaders to be held on Friday afternoon.
According to his secretariat, Chairman Deuba has held a meeting of party officials and former officials to discuss the issue of the ordinance stuck in the parliament, other bills being discussed in the parliamentary committee, contemporary politics and the upcoming party convention. The meeting is scheduled for 4 pm.
A leader said that Deuba is going to discuss in the party about the option of passing the ordinance which is stuck due to the lack of majority in the National Assembly. While Jaspa Nepal, which has supported the government, is indicating that it will support five other ordinances on the condition of withdrawing the land-related ordinance, Sakar is also doing homework to advance the bill so that it is easy to divide the party.
