Khatiwada's response to Pathibhara cable car: Development work cannot be stopped under any pretext

Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada has responded to the cable car construction dispute in Pathibhara. He said that development work cannot be stopped under any pretext.

Khatiwada also says that the ongoing protest against the cable car construction should be resolved through negotiations. Reacting to the discussion held between the Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar and the MP of Koshi Province held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday, Khatiwada said that no one can stop the development work under any pretext . Khatiwada was of the opinion that if there is a

dispute, it should be resolved through negotiation. Development and construction work cannot be blocked, no matter who it is. But the demands of the local people should be addressed at the local level. People from the local level should be promoted by people from outside, the presence of people from outside the local level is more and we should go against the system of politicization.'

Khatiwada was of the opinion that the government should solve the problem through negotiation if there is a dispute. "Government should not pay by force". The solution to the problem is negotiation. People's representatives at the local level should discuss with everyone and reach a conclusion,' he said.

Member of Parliament Khatiwada accused that permission for construction of cable car was given in 2075, but now it is not the local people but outsiders who are trying to politicize the movement. He said that as all party leaders have been called for discussion, a conclusion will be reached soon.
