The police seized gold weighing more than 3 kg from four citizens of Uzbekistan on Wednesday while they were leaving the Tribhuvan International Airport customs.

The gold hidden in the mall was recovered during a suspicious search while exiting the customs. 

According to Senior Superintendent of Police Somendr Rathore, who is assigned to the customs security of the university, there are three women and one man who came to Nepal from Dubai FJAD 575 flight from Dubai to Kathmandu.

The police in plain clothes of the Nepal Police recovered a piece of gold from their anus. There is a preliminary estimate that the smuggling group used them as porters. 

Gold has not been tested. According to Rathore, the gold will be handed over to customs. Rathore said, 'We will check the weight and submit it to the customs.' The employee complained that it is difficult to stop the illegal transactions because the check by the machine of the travel check room at the airport is not effective.
