Preparations for the first National Bamboo Conference have reached the final stage. Preparations for the conference to be held in Diktel Matikore for three days from Thursday have reached the final stage. Head of Diktel Rupakot Mazhuwagadhi Municipality Teerthraj Bhattarai has said that the main project of Diktel Rupakot Mazhuwagadhi Municipality and the conference organized by Forest Research and Training Center Babarmahal, Ministry of Tourism-Forest and Environment Koshi Province and Green Bembo Lalitpur have reached the final stage.
"Nepali Army, Armed Forces, Janpath Police, Municipal team have completed the construction of stalls and stage," Bhattarai said, "The work of hotel and other management for the guests has also been completed, there is a little work left including taping which will be done by night." Bhattarai said that materials made from bamboo brought from different 28 districts except Khotang will be kept in the stall. "The materials produced from bamboo from 28 districts outside Khotang will be kept in the stalls," said Bhattarai, "The entrepreneurs of the district will have different kinds of materials produced in the district." Bhattarai said that various universities, organizations, private sector and others will participate in the conference which will be inaugurated by Forest and Environment Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri on Thursday.
