Maoist MP Rekha Sharma has accused the government of trying to force the parliament. Speaking during the special session of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, MP Sharma made such allegations. She accused the minister of amending the bill passed by the parliamentary committee.
She accused the government of issuing ordinances without even withdrawing the pending bill in parliament and holding committee meetings in ministerial hotels.
She said, 'We are seeing that the government is constantly attacking the parliament. The bill passed by the parliamentary committee is amended by the minister. Ordinances are promulgated without even withdrawing the bill under consideration in Parliament, committee meetings are organized in minister's hotels.'
She also accused the ruling party parliamentarians and not the government to answer the questions asked by the leaders of the opposition parties in the parliament.
She said, 'In the question-and-answer program, not only are they insulting, Mr. Speaker, the answers to the questions asked by the opposition party leaders are not the government, but the ruling party parliamentarians. This type of activity should be stopped. According to the principle of separation of powers, parliamentarians should be able to use the powers of parliament.'
