Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that his party will fight in favor of the oppressed community to protect and implement the politics that the people have gained through struggle.
Addressing the public meeting and press conference held in Bahardashi Rural Municipality of Jhapa under the 'Maoist Tarai Madhesh Jagran Abhiyan with the People', Chairman Dahal said that the oppressed class should move forward unitedly for the protection and implementation of the rights gained from various movements and that his party will lead it.
Mentioning that the people have not been able to use the rights they have received, instead, they are trying to take them away from various forces, he warned about this and called on the people to move forward in unity. To do this, the party has started a Maoist awakening campaign with the people claimed.
Informing why campaign will be started from Koch area where Rajwansi, an oppressed community of east-south region resides and ending the campaign in Tharu intensive settlement of west-south region, he expressed his belief that this will help the party to return to its class and community.
Mentioning that this campaign is a campaign of interaction with the people, President Dahal said that he would listen to the problems of the people in the southernmost region, seek the potential of natural resources, draw the attention of the state for work that can be done immediately, and work that can be done in the long term in a planned way.
Mentioning that there is a lot of birth-citizenship problem in this region, President Dahal, when he was the prime minister, expressed his commitment to take steps to solve the problem, even though the way for thousands of legally stateless Nepalis to get citizenship was opened.
