The Nepali Army has said that if the Khokna land dispute is not resolved in time, the deadline for the construction of the Kathmandu-Tarai expressway (fast track) will be extended.
In a program organized at the headquarters of the Nepalese army on Sunday, the army gave information about the work done so far.
Kamal Vikram Shah, head of the Kathmandu-Tarai Expressway project, said that the construction work was delayed due to heavy rains on October 12 and 13. He said, "There is no reason to say that the Nepalese army will not do the work it has taken". We are trying day and night for that.'
He said that the work took some time because the work of cutting trees during the construction took more time. "If the settlement of Khokna's land dispute is delayed, the time of the project will increase," he said.
He said that due to heavy rains in October, the geographical condition of construction of fast track from Bakhkhubensi to Sisneri has changed.
