Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba and Azerbaijan State Minister for Foreign Affairs Elnur Mammadov had a bilateral meeting in Geneva today.
Foreign Minister Rana's secretariat said that there was a sideline meeting between the two leaders who were in Geneva to participate in the 58th high-level session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. On the occasion of the
meeting, they discussed bilateral interests and mutual interests. In the meeting, Foreign Minister Rana congratulated Azerbaijan for the successful completion of the 29th United Nations Conference on Climate Change. He said that Nepal and Azerbaijan, as members of 'NAM' and 'G-77' organizations, are jointly raising the problems of developing countries on the international stage.
While appreciating Azerbaijan's commitment in the field of climate change, both countries will raise a common voice in the international forum about the impact of climate change on developing countries in the future. Foreign Minister Rana said. She also invited Azerbaijan to participate in the Everest dialogue to be held in May.
