Maoist President Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who reached Jhapa to start the 'Maoist Tarai Madhesh Jagran Abhiyan with Janata', placed his hands on the shoulders of Deputy General Secretary Varshman Pun and Janardhan Sharma and gave a political message to the party leadership.

Although it is not unusual for the president to walk with the leader on the right and left, it is seen as meaningful to put two competitors together and give them a shoulder. As soon as this picture was published, the party leaders/activists started spreading propaganda. 

President Dahal has also tried to convey the message that there is no misunderstanding within the party. In the morning walk of the three-week-long campaign centered on Hulaki Highway, Dahal tried to give a message of unity by putting Pun and Sharma on the right and left and slapping him on the shoulder.

In the last central committee meeting, it was decided to assign the responsibility of the head of the organization department to Deputy Secretary General Sharma, who has been criticizing Chairman Dahal. At the same time, another Deputy Secretary General Pun has been given the responsibility of the head of financial affairs . In addition to this, he has the responsibility of being the chief advisor of the 'headquarters' informally.

Dahal and Sharma reached a 'gentle' agreement about uniting the party in the standing committee meeting held before the central committee meeting held in the last week of December. That gentleman was again in the main role of agreeing . It is understood by the Maoist leaders that Dahal gave a 'high' message by tapping on the shoulder of his critic and chief advisor from Kachankawal, the lowest land in Nepal.

Central member Ramesh Malla said that the energy of the youth is needed to move the country forward and unite the party. "It can be a message that youth power and strength are necessary for the country and party building," he said, "The president is campaigning to make a strong party by uniting the party." Again, Sharma is adept at making party strategy, while Sharma has a fighting nature to implement the party's plan on a war level. Therefore, it seems that Dahal has reached the conclusion of entrusting the ability of these two leaders to run the party. Pun and Sharma have a policy of supporting Dahal's leadership as long as he wants. Based on that, Dahal may have wanted Pun and Sharma's joint support .

Sharma and Pun were general secretary aspirants in the eighth convention held in December 2078. The two leaders went to Khumaltar and made one of the two the general secretary and assured Dahal that there would be no objection. Dahal said that he was positive that he would join the party building with the two leaders . After that, he went to China for treatment. Returned after gaining health. But Dahal did not make both the general secretary .

Leaders have been saying that Dahal has some doubts after the rivals of the general secretary, Pun and Sharma, came together within the party. Seeing that the combination of two leaders would pose a risk to his leadership, he limited him to the Deputy Secretary-General to keep him in 'size'. Dahal chose Dev Gurung as the general secretary after both Sharma and Pun claimed to be the general secretary. After he put the written vote in the standing committee, the distance between Dahal and Sharma increased . Dahal gave Sharma a platform to express his opinion in the meeting held in all seven provinces. After that, the closeness between Dahal and Sharma gradually increased and the last central committee meeting gave him the important responsibility of head of the organization department .

In the last Central Committee, the political report of President Dahal covered many issues raised by Sharma, and the conflict was postponed . Dahal tried to give a message of unity by giving the task of building the organization of the party.

Sharma had raised a separate panel against the establishment in the election of Akhil Krantikari last week . In the direct election held for leadership selection, the candidate of his party won the majority of office bearers except for the chairman. "It seems that Janardhan is ready to be entrusted with the organization department to balance the power within the party," another official said.
