Chairman of the Maoist Center, Pushpa Kamal Dahal criticized Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and portrayed the Oli government as the protector of corruption and regression.

He has strongly criticized the Oli-led government on various dates.

On 15th of December, Dahal told Oli in a meeting in Gaurigunj  They did not hesitate to say "false, quick, hypocritical and unscrupulous".

Dahal strongly criticized Oli in Gauriganj of Jhapa on 15th of December, Atharai of Tehrathum on 14th of January, Damak on 4th of February and Kachankawal on 12th of February . The essence of his speech was, "Oli government is protecting the corrupt". Oli still wants regression.' 

Speaking in Damak in Oli's constituency, Dahal alleged that Oli's approach is going against the rights of federalism, republic, women, tribals, Dalits, Madhesi and Muslims established in the constitution. 

Before that, on January 14, Dahal said in a sarcastic manner at Atharai in Oli's birth place Tehrathum, "The life of the government does not seem very long". While we are walking, the government may also collapse.' 

Dahal, who reached Jhapa during the Tarai Madhesh awakening campaign, accused the threat of counter-revolution in Jhapa while respecting the old communist leaders. "Jhapa was known as a symbol of revolution in the past," Dahal added, "now the threat of counter-revolution has increased from Jhapa." Aiming at Oli, he appealed to everyone to protect the country from the threat of counter-revolution.

Maoists have increased their activity in Koshi province at the moment. The results of the recently concluded by-elections have excited the Maoists. The leaders have been claiming that the party will repeat the results of 2064 in the upcoming 2084 elections.

Dahal has recently been visiting various districts of Koshi province and communicating with the local people.

Today, wherever Dahal reaches, leaders are taking morning walks by making the workers the leaders. He repeated that undertaking in Bhadrapur of Jhapa on Monday morning. It seems that Dahal's strategy is to keep the body healthy and attract people's attention.

He is especially focused on Koshi region. Due to the ongoing identity movement along with Prime Minister Oli's home district, more 'interest' of Dahal is seen in Koshi.  

Koshi region is traditionally considered a weak area for Maoists. There are only 13 members of the Maoists in the 93-member provincial assembly, out of which only nine were directly elected. Out of 28 constituencies in the House of Representatives, the Maoists managed to win only four seats. Similarly, out of 137 local levels, the Maoists have won major positions in only 13.

However, it has been found that Dahal is a little more excited about the results of the recently concluded by-elections. In some programs, he has even started insisting on repeating the 2064 vote results.
