Maoist Deputy General Secretary Varshman Pun has challenged former King Gyanendra Shah not to open his mouth about whether the dictatorial system can be returned.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the one-month Terai-Madhes Awakening Campaign centered on Hulaki Highway, which was held on Monday at Hukahuki Chowk in Kachanwal Rural Municipality of Jhapa, Pun said that the people who have become aware are not in favor of any dictatorship.

Pun advises Gyanendra not to try fishing in murky waters, seeing his future in the disappointment and dissatisfaction of the people. Pun said, "Dictators, regressive feudal lords are keeping their mouths shut to see if the old system can be returned, they are appealing" Pun said, "The dictators are walking in the murky water by spreading illusions in the people's frustration and dissatisfaction." Be careful, you will not see that daydream. People will wake up again.'

He said that the monopolistic rule with one caste, one language and one culture centered in Kathmandu is no longer possible. Pun mentioned that they have come to the public with a campaign to save the system established by the sacrifice of the 10th thousand and to clean up the garbage in the democratic republic through servicing. We did not make the revolution easily. Under the leadership of Comrade Prachanda, we have brought the country to this point through a lot of suffering, suffering and the 10th danger," he said. "If some people consider our patience and flexibility as weakness, they will regret it."

The former king issued a video message on the occasion of Democracy Day and appealed to support him saying that the country cannot move forward like this. Leaders of mainstream political parties have responded to Gyanendra's statement from inside and outside the House.
