UML Member of Parliament Yogash Bhattarai has claimed that the work of construction of Kabalkar in Taplejung is progressing according to the constitutional provisions. Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday, MP Bhattarai claimed that the government has given the responsibility of constructing the cable cars to private organizations as per the constitutional provisions.
The federal government, the state government and the local government have assigned the responsibility to a private organization to build a cable car in Taplejung according to the constitutional provisions. Everyone has the right to protest. But there are limits to opposition, Mr. Speaker . We all believe that it should be carried forward in a decent, moderate and peaceful manner. But unfortunately, during the masala procession of the anti-cable car group yesterday evening, the Taplejung market was very disturbed,' he said.
Bhattarai also said that due to the restraint of the security personnel, further activities were avoided. He further said, 'There is no one against development. There is no one against religion and culture. When we individuals start using religion and culture for our personal interests. When we start bringing religion and culture into politics. It takes the form of a fierce dispute.'
