Congress MP Dr. Shekhar Koirala said that even though the ministers participating in the government from the Congress cooperate with the CPN-UML, the MPs who are not participating in the government should be cautious. A few days ago, while speaking at a public event, Koirala had expressed that although the Congress is the ruling party, it is not in the government.

With that expression, some people speculated that the power struggle between Congress and UML had started. In a conversation with News Agency Nepal, MP Koirala made it clear that he did not mean his statement in such a way, but that his intention was that ministers participating in the government from the party should cooperate with UML, but other MPs who are outside should be cautioned.

'We have UML and Congress government. About two-thirds of the government is there. There is one thing that Congress will not be in any trouble when running a two-thirds government. Our future competitor is UML rather than anyone else. Friends who have joined the government in the cabinet, those friends should cooperate with UML. Those of us who are outside are on the side of the government but we are outside. Our competitor is UML, even in tomorrow's election. We should keep alerting this government so that the government does only good work and not wrong work,' said Koirala.
