The Nepali Army has concluded that it should proceed with a new strategy to face the security challenges created by international and regional geopolitical changes. For this, the army has concluded that the coordination and cooperation between the state institutions should be strengthened.

The security situation of the country, the geopolitical situation and the possible risks caused by it were reviewed by the military headquarters on Thursday and Friday through the 'Pritanapati Coordination Meeting'.

There was a discussion on the overall situation of the country from Jungi Adda and the departments/directorates under it and all eight Pritnapati headquarters. Most of the participants said that it is necessary to move forward in order to face the changing situation. The two-day conference concluded on Friday. At the conclusion of the

conference, Chief of Army Staff Ashokraj Sigdel said that strategy is necessary to meet the changing challenges. Jangi Adda has prepared to submit a report to the government after summarizing the conclusions of the conference. "During the opening of the conference, the Commander-in-Chief informed about the national security challenges due to the national-international situation and the geopolitical situation created by it," said a military officer who participated in the meeting, "by emphasizing that, the conference has prepared a concise roadmap on how to proceed in the future." Participating sources say that the meeting is the essence of the Prithanapati conference. The Directorate of Military Public Relations and Information said that various issues including analysis of the current security situation, review of trainings, endowments were discussed.  In the

conference, the presidents of all the seven states and the valley gave information about the security, economic, social, political and other issues of their respective regions along with reports. At that time, Koshi and Madhesh states that the situation is 'somewhat more complicated' than others. The army is under pressure to 'properly address' it. 

Every year on the eve of Army Day, Jangi Adda conducts an analysis of the overall situation of the country by calling the presidents from all over the country to review and decide the necessary strategy. Recently, after Donald Trump became the President of the United States, the United States has suspended the grants it has been giving to various countries, including Nepal, through USAID. The US has also suspended the grant given to Nepal under the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). The army has also reviewed the situation created by this.
