With the aim of building the infrastructure of socialism from the local level, the Maoists will train the winning chiefs/deputy chiefs and presidents/vice presidents at the local level on behalf of the party. For that, the Maoists have held a national meeting of the people's representatives of the local municipality on Saturday and Sunday in Kamathmadau.

At the press conference held in Kathmandu on Friday, Agniprasad Sapkota, the vice-president and spokesman of the Maoists, informed that an orientation program on building the infrastructure of socialism from the local level will be held at the meeting.  In the

meeting, the chief/deputy chief and chairman/vice chairman of one hundred and twenty-three municipalities who won on behalf of the Maoists will participate. The Maoist Center, which has won the last election from the meeting, has set the goal of building a program with the practice of socialism at the local level and creating a model municipality.  In the

gathering, there is a program where the heads/deputy heads and presidents/vice presidents of 11 municipalities that have been judged to be excellent in the national index will share their experiences. Experts Somat Ghimire, Krishnaraj Adhikari, Meen Bahadur Shrestha and others will give training on the foundation of socialism in the meeting.

Local people's representatives will be trained on socialist policy programs, law and budget formulation, production and employment. Maoists had previously trained the local people's representatives who won on behalf of the party after the local level elections.
