Janata Pragatisheel Party Nepal has opposed the land ordinance brought by the government. In addition, Madhes-centric party Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal and Democratic Samajwadi Party have also praised the stand taken against the said ordinance.
Party President Hridayesh Tripathi issued a statement on Tuesday and said that the approach taken by Jaspa Nepal, an important component of the 'Loose Alliance' formed between Madhes-centric parties, and then LOSPA, has sent a positive message across the country. He expressed his belief that the opposition from the two parties regarding the land ordinance will contribute to the protection of public land, forest area, Bhutan, Hat Bazar, Gouchar, national park or reserve, intermediate area land and Chure area. He said that there is an inevitability of 'loose alliance' to build unity between all the Madhes-centric parties in the government or outside the government.
Tripathi has expressed his belief that the alliance formed between the Madhes-centric parties will be more effective in the coming days and will contribute creatively and positively to Nepali politics. He also clarified that the alliance is not against any particular party.
He has also said that his party has been positive about the alliance between Madhes-centric parties since the beginning. Tripathi mentioned in the statement that after the draft to be decided by the joint working group formed by all the parties for the basis of the alliance is approved by the leadership level, it will send a positive message to the politics of Terai/Madhes.
