National Assembly Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal has said that attention has been drawn to the death of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the Indian state of Odisha.

The parliamentarians raised questions about this during the emergency session of the National Assembly on Tuesday. After that, Chairman Dahal said that the matter of Lamsal's mysterious death has attracted the serious attention of the assembly.

Similarly, Chairman Dahal has also drawn the attention of the government to find out the truth of the incident and provide justice to the victim's family. I would like to draw the attention of the government of Nepal to investigate the truth about this matter and identify the real situation and take serious diplomatic initiatives as soon as possible to provide proper justice to this girl. Also, I request the government to create an environment where Nepali students studying in that college can study with confidence in a safe environment, President Dahal said.
