It is an irresponsible expression to say that we brought an ordinance for development and good governance: Saud

Congress MP NP Saud has said that it is wrong to ignore the Parliament and bring the ordinance. Saud also says that the expression of the top leaders that they have brought an ordinance for economic development and good governance is irresponsible.

In a program organized in Kathmandu on Tuesday, MP Saud, who is also a former minister, also clarified that the Parliament has not stopped making laws for good governance and economic development.

Ordinances come to meet immediate needs. Between the two sessions of the Parliament, an ordinance is issued to make the necessary laws for the government immediately,' Saud said, 'As the very high-ranking officials of the government are saying now, that we have brought an ordinance for economic development, we have brought an ordinance for good governance, that is not an expression of responsibility.'

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers and the ruling UML and Congress leaders have been expressing that the ordinance has been brought for economic development and good governance. MP Saud said, 'That raises another question, has the law made by the parliament created any disruption in the way of good governance and economic development? It is not possible that there will be no economic development and good governance when laws are made by Parliament and that progress can only be made through ordinances.'

MP Saud said that no government can move forward by ignoring and devaluing democracy. "No government can move forward, no democracy can move forward by bypassing the Parliament, ignoring the Parliament, devaluing the Parliament. We need to be sensitive and reflective on this road," he said.

Similarly, MP Saud has also expressed dissatisfaction with the social media bill introduced by the government. He said that it is necessary to regulate social networks, but when regulating, regulation should be started by having an office of social networks. He said that freedom of expression on social media should not be restricted.
