A study has shown that only 11.43 percent of female politicians are represented in Nepali media. Media Advocacy Group released the report prepared after two months on Tuesday.

The group studied the status of women politicians in mainstream media last November and January. "In two months, a total of 1,066 articles were published in seven dailies," the statement issued by the group said, "in which 115 articles were related to female politicians." According to the group, the purpose of the

study is to analyze the content published in the print media from a gender perspective. For this, the group has informed that it has studied the news published in seven mainstream daily newspapers in the country.
