A Police Deputy Inspector (SAI) working in the District Police Office, Jhapa, was found dead in the office premises on Sunday morning.

Police Deputy Inspector Dhanraj Khatiwada, 49, was found dead in the iron ladder leading to the water tank on the top floor of the three-storey barracks of the District Police Office located in Bhadrapur Municipality-8.

Khativada, who has a permanent home in Temkemaiyung rural municipality ward-4 of Bhojpur, was currently living in Kanepokhari rural municipality-7 of Morang. He was found hanging by a nylon rope . 

The relatives of the deceased have been informed about the incident and the police said that further investigations are ongoing.
