Federal MP and former minister Gokul Baskota has said that youth consciousness will lead the change of the world. Addressing the orientation program of the World Youth Festival held at Kathmandu University in Dhulikhel on Saturday, he said that it is possible to change the world with the leadership of conscious youth.
He said, "Youth should not only rebel, youth should be conscious, youth should have leadership, creative spirit, this world conference covers these things, this program will be very beneficial for youth, it will increase leadership development among youth." In the
event, Wagmati State Assembly Member of Parliament Tirtha Lama mentioned that the World Youth Festival is a historic conference and said that it carries the identity of not only Kavre but the country as well. He believes that this type of program will help to add new energy to the youth.
Similarly, the provincial MP Ratna Dhakal emphasized that the three levels of government should take the initiative to solve various problems such as the energetic youth of the country migrating abroad and the frustration of the youth in the country. 
World Youth Festival is going to be organized in Kavre with the belief of encouraging the youths from opportunities, skills and challenges in the country, said Deepak Kumar Gautam, Head of District Coordination Committee Kavre. 10,000 delegates from 75 countries will participate in the festival. There will be more than 200 speakers. Organizers said that more than 50 different activities will be held at the festival, which is expected to gather more than 300,000 youth. Climate change, gender equality, women's empowerment, freedom of speech, tourism, politics, leadership, local food and other topics will be debated at the festival.
festival will be held at Kathmandu University campus from Chait 14 to 18, 2081 (March 27-31, 2025). Organizers say that 100,000 youths are expected to attend the opening ceremony.
