The injured elephant 'Yamgaj' from Parsa National Park was treated at Hilekhola forest in Rautahat on Thursday. A team of doctors from Chitwan-based National Nature Conservation Fund treated Yamgaj with darts.

"As the pus has accumulated up to the inside of the leg wound, we have cleaned it and given antibiotics," he said.

According to doctor Sadoula, it cannot be said that Yamagaj was shot or speared by a hunter. "Looking at it, it looks like a shot," he said, "I can't say that, but the wound is very deep." The doctor said that he will be discharged after recovery.
