Three people died in a school bus accident in Shankharapur Municipality-5, Kattike on Wednesday. Superintendent of Police (SP) Apilraj Bohra informed that Krisal Puri, Suresh Tamang and Shushanka Dotel died when the bus carrying students of SS Academy Chabhil, who were returning from a picnic, died in an accident.

Bohra informed that 11-year-old Krisal Puri of Morang, a resident of Kapan, died at the University Teaching Hospital and 14-year-old Shushanka Dotel of Sindhupalcho, a resident of Vimsengola, died at the Shankharapur Hospital. 24-year-old Suresh Tamang of Sindhupalchok, a resident of Chabahill, died at the Nepal Medical College. Tamang is a school teacher. 

According to him, 40 people were injured in the accident. Sundarimai Transport bus No. 2 B 7958 carrying students had an accident at 4:50 pm while returning from a picnic on Wednesday afternoon. There were students from class 2 to 9 in the bus.

The injured are being treated at the People's Life Care Hospital at Shankharapur, Nepal Medical College at Jorpati and the University Teaching Hospital at Maharajganj.  

On Sunday, a bus carrying students of Junkiri English Boarding School in Bhanjang, Dakshinkali Municipality-3, was on its way to Pharping to drop off the students. The driver and one student died and 45 people were injured. 35-year-old driver Radhakrishna Magar and 8-year-old Bipin Shrestha died during treatment when the bus number Ba 1 K 5664 of Junkiri English Boarding fell 150 meters down the road into Dallu river.
