Various organizations related to foreign employment professionals have submitted a request to the District Administration Office, Kathmandu to hold the general meeting of their umbrella organization Nepal Foreign Employment Professionals Association at the specified time.
Calling the decision of the association working committee to postpone the general meeting scheduled on February 2 as illegal, they have applied to the district administration office to direct them to hold the general meeting on the fixed date.
Petitioners include Nepal Democratic Foreign Employment Association, Integrated Foreign Employment Professionals Association, Nepal Foreign Employment Professionals Republican Forum, Nepal Foreign Employment Professionals Unity Committee, Terai Foreign Employment Professionals Society, Nepal Foreign Employment Tamudhi Society, Nepal Foreign Employment Tamang Society and Nepal Foreign Employment Magar Society. In the
petition, the decision to postpone the general meeting is not in accordance with the constitution and the law, and it is also requested to give instructions to hold the general meeting with the election process.
