LOSPA President Mahant Thakur has said that the Kathmandu Metropolitan City has acted excessively towards Kawadi businessmen. In a meeting with the media in Jaleshwar, Mahottari, Thakur claimed that the Kathmandu Metropolitan City is trying to displace the Kawadi traders.
Chairman Thakur said that even against the order of the court, dozers are being forcibly used on the buildings and commercial structures of Kawadi businessmen and the businessmen are being beaten up by the city police.
Stating that any act, law, regulation or standard brought by any local level cannot be higher than the constitution of the country, he said that the law, law or regulation that takes away the constitutional rights of citizens will be automatically repealed.
He also drew the attention of the government to stop the extreme excesses and violation of constitutional rights by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Police.
