Two buses carrying students of SS Academy in Chabhil were returning from a picnic in Nagarkot on Wednesday. There were 92 students in the bus. On the way back, the bus No. Ba 2 B 7958 brake failed and met with an accident at the turn at Kattike, Sankharapur municipality-5. According to Police Complex Kathmandu, it is not clear how many students were on the bus that crashed.
According to the police department, the incident happened at 4:50 p.m. Manish Majhi, a 39-year-old driver, was driving the transport bus for Sundari who was in the accident. According to the preliminary information of the police, the bus went out of control after the brakes failed.
SP Apilraj Bohora of Kathmandu police complex said that the driver Manish has been taken into custody. SP Bohora said that an investigation is being conducted on whether or not the driver consumed alcohol. He said that looking at the situation at the scene, the accident may have happened due to high speed. 
Manoj Dangol, who live-streamed the video of the accident through the social network Facebook, said that he reached there after learning about the incident and saw the scene of the dozer picking up the crashed bus. He said, "The injured were crying." The rescue operation was ongoing .'
