It has been 15 years since Prem Bahadur Tamang of Bahrbise Municipality-5 Banjang Khark has been a chaunripalan. He has hung a pole in the barn. They put milk in Dekchi and Mohi in Theki. The 57-year-old Temchang Sherpa of Upper Lekali Yarmala in Bhotekoshi-4 Phulpingkatti, bordering China, has been managing Chaunrigoth for 20 years. He has 43 chaunris and yaks in his shed. He said that he earns 8 lakhs a year by selling Churpi and ghee. 

According to Pitambar Ghimire, Head of Animal Development Branch of Bahrbise Municipality, 10,000 kg of Ghee and 13,000 kg of Churpi are produced in the municipality annually. 15,000 kg of ghee and 18,000 kg of Churpi are produced annually from Jugal. Churpi is being sold at the rate of Rs 1000 and ghee at Rs 950 per kg. 

Most of the chaunripalaks of the district have joined and formed the Bhanjang chaunripalak group. The group has been collecting ghee and ghee and selling it in Kathmandu. According to the agriculture and livestock branch of the local level, 45,200 kg of ghee and 55,500 kg of Churpi are exported to Kathmandu annually from all over the district. It is estimated that 98.44 lakh 40 thousand rupees are brought into the district annually from the ghee and chhurpi of Chaunri. 

Chounri and Dimupalak are getting discouraged due to lack of water and grass in the lake due to landslides and soil erosion. Chaunripalak is fed up after the fire destroyed 82 hectares of community forests including Liping forest in Gourishankar conservation area and Kipche in Jugal. Currently, there are more than 450 chaunrigoths across the district. According to the data of Gauri Shankar Conservation Area Project, there were 1000 cowsheds here till two years ago.
