Nepal Samajwadi Party (New Shakti) has made arrangements for voting by delegates abroad.
In the ongoing convention in the capital, New Power has arranged to vote through 'Vote.ElectionRunner.com'. Manushi Yami Bhattarai, the leader of Naya Shakti, informed that arrangements have been made to vote online for five dozen voters in different countries. For the first time, the new power has made arrangements for voting by representatives who are abroad.
Party coordinator and former prime minister Baburam Bhattarai and student leader Netra Chapagai will compete for the post of president. Out of the 99 members of the central committee, 20 have been elected unopposed, while voting is going on for 79 posts including the president, vice president, general secretary, secretary and central members. One thousand two hundred delegates will vote in the convention.
Two office bearers, state and central member leaders have been elected unopposed. They were elected in the closed session of the party's first convention which started from Sunday. Manushi Yami Bhattarai as vice president for women, Durga Sob as vice president (Dalit) and others who were elected unopposed as office bearers.
