CCTV footage shows that a young man tried to attack a woman with a sharp weapon in Vaityashwar Rural Municipality-6 Namdu at 9 am on January 28. On Monday morning, Tripura campus professor Usha Tamang La was returning home after being taught by the young man who killed him near the gate of the campus.

After that, it is seen in the CCTV footage that he tried to hit Usha by showing a knife hidden in his back. Immediately after the

, a person from across the road comes to the place where Usha and the young man were sleeping. That person tells the young man not to do this, and the surrounding locals start coming. When the locals are about to gather, Usha hits a young man with a stone who tries to attack her with a weapon. After that, other locals also hit the young man with stones. At the same time, the video of that young man hurling stones at the locals has gone viral on social media.

Usha, who is working as a teacher in Vaityashwar Secondary School, also taught in that campus. The young man who tried to attack Usha in the morning is his relative. The handsome officer of Bhimeshwar Municipality-5 who attacked Usha is the son of her cousin. Usha and Sundar are the children of Mama Phupu. Usha and Sundar grandmother are the same. The police said that Sundar attacked Usha due to a dispute over the land of her grandmother.

Usha's father tried to kill his grandmother's land alone. Sundar filed a case of forgery and contaminated documents against Usha's father Kaziman in the district court. The case was decided in Sundar's favor. In the judgment, both parties were to be divided half by the court. Sources said that after the decision, there was an agreement between the two parties at the ward office to share the land according to the decision. But after Usha filed a case in Patan High Court against the decision and the agreement, tension between their families increased, sources said.

Acting Chief Dataram Adhikari of District Police Office Dolakha told Usha that he tried to attack with weapons on the same issue. The case is pending in the High Court. "It has been seen that Sundar attacked Usha with weapons regarding the land dispute," he said, "Because Sundar is absconding, no further issues have been revealed." 

After the attack, Usha took the CCTV footage and lodged a complaint with the police saying that she was attacked. He said that when the police started preparing to arrest Sundar, who had attacked him, suddenly the CCTV footage was released on social media and he absconded.

"Who and why uploaded the CCTV footage on social media will also be investigated," he said, adding that even before action was taken, the video went viral on social media. 

Those who attack with weapons in public places will be punished, he said. The police said that more matters will be revealed after Sundar's arrest. He is being searched.
