The Ruppandehi District Court has ordered the remand of former DIG of Nepal Police Chabilal Joshi in the case of misappropriating funds of Supreme Cooperative to Gorkha Media Network.

The judge of the court, Yagya Murthy Gyawali, said that Joshi, who was present in the court on Monday, was ordered to be remanded in custody by the bench of Judge Vashisht Kumar Ghimire after the custodial debate. He said that it was ordered to send him to prison as per the decision. He said that since there is no basis that the defendant did not knowingly commit a crime, the order was made to keep him in custody.

RSVP President Ravi Lamichhane along with former DIG Joshi, Gitendrababu (GB) Rai, president of Gorkha Media Network and others have been made defendants in this case.

Already, Ruppandehi District Court has released Lamichhane, the then Managing Director of Gorkha Media Network Pvt. Ltd., on a bond of Rs.

The Supreme Cooperative Fraud Court ordered that the present case be released on bail based on the immediate evidence that the defendant (Lamichhane) did not commit any crime.
