Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that Democracy Day will be celebrated as a public event. In the meeting of National Democracy Day, 2081 Main Ceremony Committee on Sunday, Prime Minister Oli asked to celebrate the historic day of defeating the regressive autocracy and regressiveness that oppresses the people, naked and hideous tendencies and the sacrifice struggle of the Nepali people.
''This day should not be celebrated as a formal day to be celebrated only based on the above orders. It should be prepared to make it a people's program,' said Prime Minister Oli.
He also said that February 7 is the day that will bring the biggest change for the country. This is the biggest change for the country. There are those who prefer to call the violence as People's War Day, but there are elements who do not like to accept such a change. Disregarding the Democracy Day cannot be democratic. This day should be celebrated with grandeur,' he said.
