Senior Vice President of Maoist Center Narayankaji Shrestha has said that he will strongly oppose the ordinance brought by the government. He also said that the process of issuing the ordinance itself is undemocratic, autocratic and arbitrary.
Speaking at a press conference held by the Press Center Nepal Palpa in Tansen on Saturday, Shrestha, who is also the former Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, said that some of the contents of the ordinance seem to work against the interests of this country and its people. "We are now in the process of strongly protesting against the ordinance in the parliament," he said. We are going to counter that.'
He said that in the context of the current country, it is in the process of moving forward with all the opposition forces in the direction of fulfilling the national workload. Senior Vice President Shrestha said that the government is ready to move forward by supporting good works and maintaining consensus on national issues. "We want to be able to support the good works done by the government," he said.
Leader Shrestha said that although the government's national responsibility is to establish good governance, prosperity and social justice, it is wrong to say that the country is governed by ordinances. "It is a parliamentary practice to bring an ordinance to solve the problem if there is an immediate problem due to the non-functioning of the Parliament," he said. Senior Vice President Shrestha said that even at a time when it is easy to exercise power, bringing in forceful ordinances is against the interests of the country and the people.
