Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has directed to proceed with the repair work of the rooms of the Ministry of Water Supply which were damaged due to fire.
On Saturday morning, the fire caused a loss worth Rs. 50 lakhs. After the on-site inspection of the rooms that caught fire, Deputy Prime Minister Singh has given instructions for immediate repairs.
Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development, Padmakumar Mainali, after the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister Singh, now the Federal Secretariat Construction and Management Office has started the maintenance work .
Under the instructions of Deputy Prime Minister Singh, a committee has also been formed for the cause of the fire and for the prevention of such incidents in the future. "A committee has been formed to assess the damage of the incident and submit a report within a week with recommendations to prevent recurrence of such incidents in the Singhdarbar complex," he said.
