Nepali Congress General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that a person who commits any crime based on belonging to a party or a party close to the ruling party will not get immunity. General Minister Thapa said this while speaking at the first session of the Arghakhanchi-Kathmandu Liaison Committee in Kathmandu on Saturday.
"The person who made a mistake, whether he is from his own party or someone from another party . Be it a bell ringer or a drum ringer . Be it looting public land or selling people . A person who does wrong is wrong,' said General Minister Thapa, 'Nobody is as gentleman as Congress and Jai Nepal. Not innocent . This is the party's position . So let's call wrong wrong with confidence.'
He said that the Congress cannot say that the country has deteriorated since Congress has a leading role in all three levels of government. He said that the Congress should show its presence now so that every citizen can feel it.
He asked the government to bring him under investigation if any Congress leader or minister has done wrong.
'Today I am the General Minister of Congress . If I have done something wrong, please bring me to the scope of investigation. I will not carry the burden of my mistakes to anyone . No one else should carry it,' he said, 'I hereby request Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli that any Congress leader, minister whether it is co-operative fraud or any other corruption should be brought under investigation. If guilty, action should be taken.'
