Bus number 2669 of Sagarmatha Transport stopped near Biratchowk on East-West Highway. Co-driver Roshan Kafle said, "La disapisab lagya ba jau hola hai!" Then Nikesh Dahal of Jhapa Bahundangi, who was traveling in the bus, got down.

However, he was confused as to where the public toilet would be in Madhya Bazar. And asked the co-driver, 'Where is the toilet bro?' The co-driver pointed to the south and said, 'It is there.'

Nikesh was surprised. "I never imagined that there would be a public toilet in a grand building," said Nikesh, "As magnificent as it is outside, the inside is the same." Many of our cities and markets are without public toilets. However, the Sundarharaincha Industry and Commerce Association of Morang has started a campaign to build eight modern style toilets in the municipal area since 2073. At that time, after buying 11 dhurs of land with some money raised from the trade fair project in Biratchowk, the campaign for toilet construction started. Which was led by local businessman Bholeshwar Dulal . He has been traveling abroad and has brought the practices he saw abroad to use in his own city.

So far, two toilets in Biratchok and Salakpur are operational. Two toilets in Khorsane and Harichabazar are under construction . All toilets are of the same design. The ground floor of the two-story toilet has a toilet, fireplace, passenger rest room and saloon. On the first floor there is a library with modern audio-video facilities. During free time, you can go up to the second floor of the toilet and read various books. There is a special arrangement for the disabled and women, inside the toilet. "The toilet has been built according to European standards," said Dulal. Mahaabhiyaan has started the construction of toilets in eight bazaars including Biratchok, Khorsane, Ballia, Salakpur, Gachia, Gothgaon and Haricha. "Toilets have been constructed in four markets," businessman Dulal said, "and now four places are left to be constructed." It is said that 35 percent of the investment will be from the local government and the remaining 65 percent will be the participation of local residents, traders, banks and financial institutions. To start the work of the remaining four toilets, the Chamber of Commerce is again organizing an expo. From January 30th, preparations for the 'Sunder Haraincha Virat Expo' project have been accelerated in Biratchowk. "Our plan is to spend the income from the expo on the construction of four more toilets," said Vice President Dilli Prasad Dhakal, "After that, the campaign will do other social activities."
