CPN (Maoist Centre) Member of Parliament and former Finance Minister Barshman Pun has said that there is a process of giving the license of the new stock exchange to interest groups.

In the meeting of the House of Representatives on Thursday, the former finance minister Pun accused the government of abandoning the restructuring of the new stock exchange and giving a license to the new Scot Exchange. He also asked that if the license of the new stock exchange is to be given to the private sector, it should be given open competition instead of commission.

Pun also said that interest groups dominated the license of the new Scott Exchange. He said that if not on the basis of open competition, the main opposition parties will warn the government. There have been talks of restructuring the Nepal Stock Exchange from Nepal Securities. But restructuring is not taking place . The new stock exchange is running back and forth for the day . The interests of some interest groups have been seen in this,' he said, 'Nepal Stock Exchange should be strengthened by restructuring it . If you have to go to the private sector, there should be an arrangement to go through competition.'
