Expelled UML leader Bhim Rawal, who is running the Matrubhumi Jagran campaign, has said that the current Congress-UML government is lying by talking about amending the constitution. "Now it is heard that some leaders are not moving ahead with the amendment of the constitution instead of two-thirds," leader Rawal said at a press conference held in Dhangadhi on Thursday.
A few days ago, UML Propaganda Department Chief Rajendra Gautam, while speaking at a press conference held in Dhangadhi, said that since two-thirds of the votes were not present, the issue of amending the constitution was not raised now.
Leader Rawal also raised questions about political stability. He said, "What is the meaning of such and such a prime minister for two years? Will there be stability no matter what the two parties do together?" .'
He said that the seven-point agreement between Congress President and UML President Oli is opaque. "What is the purpose of keeping the signed agreement secret?" he said.
NECPA UML said that its beliefs and commitments will not be compromised in expelling party members.
Stating that the party will be formed after nationwide consultations, he said that he is going to organize a Kailali Kanchanpur-level gathering of Matrubhumi Jagran in Dhangadhi on Saturday.
