Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba, who was in Pokhara for three days, kept repeating two main themes in his speech. The theme he repeated in different programs for three consecutive days was that the inclusive-proportional system in Nepal's constitution is the best in the world. Also, if there is unity within the party, the Congress will have a single majority till the next election.
He participated in the conference of the Pokhara Metropolitan Committee on Sunday, the organization and contemporary context orientation for the Provincial Party Chairman and the Head of the Provincial Training Department in Pokhara organized by the Central Policy, Research and Training Institute of the Congress on Monday and the similar orientation of all 77 District Chairman and Head of the Training Branch on Tuesday.
In the meeting of the state presidents and vice presidents, he said that even though it was difficult for any one party to get a majority in the inclusive, proportional political system, they succeeded in making the Congress the largest party. He claims that if there is unity within the party, it can become a party that will get the majority in the coming days. He said that if party unity is maintained, the challenge of strengthening democracy, inclusive proportional politics and federal system can be faced. He reiterated the same in the meeting of the district chairmen and deputy chairmen on Tuesday.
He said that other countries are also learning from Nepal's efforts to ensure 33 percent female participation. He said that even though the constitution of Nepal is the best in the world, if one party does not get the majority, it is forced to form an alliance. If there is no political stability, the government cannot function. Its lifespan is not certain," he said. "The stability of the government made up of two parties is clear. Two parties have always fought for democracy and democracy.
General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa and Vishwaprakash Sharma gave training on party, organization, membership campaign, interrelationship between center and state, effectiveness of Congress in government. The chairman and deputy chairman of the participating districts suggested that the youth should be self-employed, the country's development speed and economic speed should be brought forward, attention should be paid to organization expansion, elections should be fought without alliances, factions and sub-factions within the party should be stopped. It is said that the orientation will be divided into groups and the discussion will be held on Wednesday.
