The report of the Legislation Management Committee on the Tilganga Eye University Bill, 2081 has been submitted in the National Assembly meeting on Sunday. Tulsakumari Dahal, chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee, submitted the report of the bill in the meeting.
The bill originated in the National Assembly was sent to the committee for discussion. 29 MPs proposed 71 amendments to the bill.
Chairman Dahal informed the House that suggestions were taken from experts along with amendments to the bill and the purpose of the bill is to increase access to eye health services, develop new technology in the field of eyes, provide quality services and operate a public university. The bill was passed by the
committee on January 15. The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on Thursday 24th January at 1:15.
