Minister of Communication and Information Technology and Government Spokesperson Prithvisubba Gurung has indicated that the Constitution will be amended within 2082.

While inaugurating the newly constructed building of Lamjung's Marsyangdi Rural Municipality in Bhulbhule, he said, "We will identify where there is a problem in the implementation of the constitution." If necessary, the constitution will be amended."

"We said that when we formed the government. For the country's economy, to end misrule, where did the problem arise when implementing the constitution within these 10 years? Let's review to find out about this, because there is a constitutional arrangement to amend the constitution within 10 years.

He said that the constitution will be amended by national consensus. "We discuss, identify the issues, after identifying the 2 parties, we consult with the other parties in power," he said, "After deciding a kind of agenda among the ruling parties, we move forward together with the opposition, we do not do anything alone." 

He said that the government has two-thirds of the constitutional amendment. We will not do the work of amending the constitution without national consensus. This is what I want to say to the opposition friends, let's amend the constitution together.

He said that the amendment of the constitution is necessary for the development and progress of the country. Constitution is not a letter written in stone, it will never be erased. Constitution is an amendable document. It is a dynamic document. If there is any dynamic, it should change according to time.
