Deputy General Secretary of CPN (UML) Pradeep Gyawali has said that it is not appropriate for a person who has become president to be active in party politics. Amidst the talk of former President Bidya Devi Bhandari's return to CPN (UML), Gyawali, while addressing a press conference held in Butwal on Wednesday, said that it is not appropriate for a person who has become the guardian of the country to return to the party's direct executive role.

"I don't think it is appropriate for a person who has become the guardian of the country to return to the direct executive role of the party. I don't think that's fair even under normal circumstances. If any unusual situation arises, the nation demands the role of every individual. At that time, it can be debated separately,' he said.

Similarly, he said that there is no decision in the party about returning former president Bhandari to UML. 'It is not true that he is coming to compete with the president like the comment made outside that he will immediately return to the active politics of CPN-UML. About this, he himself has said that I can come when the nation needs it. The party has not made any decision on this matter,' he said. He said that the discussions that are happening now are only speculations.
