The student organization of the Maoist center Akhil Krantikari held a vote for the election of the leadership last Saturday, but the counting of votes has been postponed. The counting of votes has been stopped since Sunday due to a dispute between the organization and Deputy General Secretary Janardan Sharma's side.

Even after 24 hours of the dispute, the election committee has not been able to find a solution. Senior advocate Mukti Pradhan is the head of the election committee.

Although the election committee agreed to use a pen with red ink for voting, there was a dispute after it was found that black ink was used in the ballot paper. Although the counting of votes in seven provinces has been completed, the counting of votes in Valley Special and University Provinces has been stopped. 264 votes were cast in Valley Special and 258 in University Province.

Akhil (Revolutionary) has a tough competition between the establishment and Deputy Secretary General Janardan Sharma's side. According to the vote results of seven provinces, Vijay Sapkota of the establishment party has got 485 votes and Hemant Rai of the Sharma party has got 461 votes.

The candidate of Sharma party has accused of rigging the ballot paper by using black ink. He has taken the stand that the ballot papers with black ink should be cancelled.

On Monday morning, Arjun Adhikari, a member of the Election Committee of the University State Committee, and Jagat Pakharel, a member of the Election Committee of the Valley Special Committee, issued a notice saying that the counting of votes will resume from 12 noon. But the counting of votes could not be restarted after the candidates of Sharma's side expressed their disagreement.

Maoist central member and in-charge of the student faction Himal Sharma said that although red ink was asked to be used in the ballot papers, voting was stopped because some ballot papers were marked with black ink.

"Discussions are underway to count the votes after agreeing," he said, "The ballot has not been reduced." As much as it has fallen, so is it. The only dispute is about the ink that was used there.'' "We can't wait for a long time because there is a dispute," he said, "Votes have to be counted according to the rules." In the election held on January 14, the majority was in favor of imposing an age limit of 32 years on all revolutionaries. According to the results of the vote, students under the age of 32 were nominated to take the leadership.

According to the Constitution of All Revolutionaries, 243 members will be elected in the central committee, one chairman, 4 open, 5 inclusive, 9 vice-chairmen, one general secretary, 9 deputy general secretaries, 12 secretaries and 1 treasurer.
