The opposition party drew the attention of the speaker that the ordinance was introduced while the bill was under consideration

The main opposition Maoist Center and the opposition National Independent Party have drawn the attention of Speaker Devraj Ghimire to the fact that the government introduced the ordinance while the bill was pending in the parliamentary committee.

The speaker called the chief whips of the opposition party for a discussion on Sunday. In the said discussion, the issue of the ordinance came up while the bill was pending.

The opposition parties drew the attention of the speaker by mentioning the fact that the government is ignoring the parliament. 'We talked about the ordinance. The government is not responding well to the parliament . Because a bill related to finance is under discussion in the finance committee of the parliament. But there is an ordinance about that . We said that it will not be met," said Hitraj Pandey, chief whip of the Maoists, "we have not yet discussed the contents of it. We said that we will talk about the ordinance in the parliament and that this step of the government is not right.'

The government brought an ordinance without completing the process of withdrawing the Economic Procedures and Financial Responsibility (First Amendment) Bill, 2081, which is under discussion in the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives. The government brought in the 'Fiscal Procedure and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2081'. In this way, the opposition parties said that the government is ignoring the parliament.

About the discussion with the Speaker, Pandey further said, 'The meeting of the Working Arrangement Consultative Committee is being held on the 15th . The speaker raised questions about the agenda to be taken and what time to start and what should be done for the bill because of the delay in the parliamentary committee meetings. We have given our suggestions there . Still, there was a discussion on the matter of doing homework with all the leading experts and then making a concrete decision and agenda in the meeting of the management consultation committee.'

RSVP's chief whip Santosh Pariyar said that during the discussion, the government needs to be serious about the law making . He said that the government is not serious even though the opposition party is ready to help in making the law. Pariyar informed that if the government is not active in law making, the parliament will not be effective and suggested further discussion with the ruling party.
