Nepal Communist Party General Secretary Netra Vikram Chand has said that Nepal's politics is currently flying in the sky, so it is necessary to bring it down to earth.
He said this while addressing the launch program of 'Season-Sudarshan' commemorative book held at Birganj on Saturday. "Nepal's politics is now flying in the sky, the people are being shown hope by doing things that are not big," he said, "the people do not have the capacity to eat two eggs, so it is necessary to keep Nepal's politics on the ground."
Complaining that even though the republic came to Nepal, it could not become a people's republic, he said that even today Nepali people have not been able to feel the republic. "The people have not been able to feel that newness has come in their lives from this republic," he said, "The oppressed are still oppressed, the oppressed are still oppressed, the poor are still poor, yesterday was the rule of feudalism, today is the rule of broker capitalists."
Saying that more than half of the country's wealth is in the hands of 10/12 percent of the rich, he remarked that money is piling up in the bank, but on the other hand, the hands of the poor people are empty. He said that law, administration and economy are still in the hands of a limited class.
Chand said that the politics of the country is currently limited to speech, gossip, jobs and pleasing others, and politics has not become a tool to change people's lives. Accusing the Maoist movement of making the biggest mistake in creating the current situation, he said, "The people gave us the third party, but we were wrong. After entering Kathmandu, we could not change ourselves according to the spirit of the people's war."
Stating that people are still worried about whether they will carry guns again, he made it clear that they do not plan to carry guns immediately. "The day the people's voice is suppressed by guns, we will carry guns again," he said.
Earlier, he also launched the commemorative book 'Season-Sudarshan'. He was killed in an attack by the security forces during the season's conflict, while his father, journalist Sudarshan Raj Pandey, died in August this year.
