Inspector General of Nepal Police Vasant Bahadur Kunwar has said that only if we can show that Nepal is not only beautiful, but also safe, the attraction in the tourism sector will increase. He said that along with the expansion of the tourism sector, security should also be a matter of concern.
On the occasion of the 46th Tourist Police Day held in Kathmandu on Saturday, Inspector General Kunwar said that for the expansion of tourism, attention should also be paid to security concerns. Along with the expansion of tourist services, the safety of tourists should also be a major concern. If we can make ourselves known to the world that Nepal is not only beautiful but also safe, it is certain that more attraction will be created in the tourism sector,' he said.
Inspector General Kunwar said that the protection of tourists is not possible with the single effort of Nepal Police. He said that the relevant agencies should also play a role in this. "The tourist security management work is not possible with the single effort of the police, so the coordinated role of all concerned agencies is indispensable," he said.
Inspector General of Police Kunwar mentioned that Nepal is the center of attraction from a tourist point of view. He also said that it is necessary to increase the capacity of the tourist police.
