Janamat Party President CK Raut has said that there is a conspiracy to impose a two-party system in the country. He said this while talking to mediapersons after the program organized on the occasion of Gajendra Narayan Singh's 24th death anniversary in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Stating that some of the recent decisions of the government feel that there is a conspiracy to impose a two-party system, he also said that there is a great possibility that the Madhesi parties will gather now. Stating that it is rare in a democratic country for two parties of opposite sides to form a government together, he said, "There is a great possibility that the Madhesist parties will gather. Because two big parties have formed a government together.'
He mentioned the work being done by the government made up of two big parties to amend the laws and explained it as a conspiracy to impose a two-party system. He said that he is worried about the threat to the system itself, "Not only the Madhes-centric parties, but all the parties apart from those two parties, I have seen a strong possibility of coming to the streets together."
