The leaders of the Madhesh party have remembered the promoter of 'Madheshism' Sr. Gajendra Narayan Singh on his 24th memorial day. In a program organized by Gajendra Narayan Singh Study Center on his memorial day on Thursday, the leaders remembered him as a visionary and leader who wanted change.
Leader Rajendra Mahato, who spent a long time with Singh in the Nepal Sadbhavana Party, said that the ideas given by Singh are equally relevant now. 'When even Madheshis hesitated to call themselves Madheshis, it was not easy to introduce Madheshism in Madhesh,' he said, 'Kathmandu did not accept it ; It was also difficult in Madhesh. In such an adverse situation, Gajendrababu established the idea of Madheshism.'
Mahato reminded that he tried to cooperate with the tribal movement with the idea that those who were oppressed by the state should unite. Mahato, who is the chairman of Rashtriya Mukti Party, said that it is not possible to achieve rights by fighting alone.
President of Janata Samajwadi Party Upendra Yadav said that Singh is a leader of revolutionary nature. "He was a democratic warrior and a revolutionary leader," he recalled. He said that the dominance of one community in the executive body, the army and the judiciary, the dominance of their own language and the brahminist thinking could not change. He mentioned that there are two paths in front of those who can accept this fate or go to struggle.
Janmat Party President CK Raut said that Singh left Madheshism as his legacy. He is my source of inspiration in politics. Before I read Gandhi in the book, I had a chance to understand him," he said. Now Madhesh is divided under different names.'
President of Janata Pragatisheel Party Hridayash Tripathi remembered Singh as a leader who is unwaveringly steadfast on issues and ideas. Tripathi is also one of the leaders of Uda from the Sadbhavana Party, which is close to Singh. He said that once again the forces of Madhesh should be united to make the entire Madhesh one. program said that Singh has strongly raised the issue of federalism. Sahpani is a former leader of Sadbhavana Party. Chairman of Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party, Vrishesh Chandra Lal, mentioned that even though it was hoped that everything would be fine after the democracy came, Singh was aware that it would not be the case.
